Partnership Case Study

The Joy Set CollectiveandBlack Women of AllBright

Building rooms where Black women can connect, contribute and flourish.

Community • Connection • Collaboration • Impact

We didn’t deliver a session. We shaped the year together.

The Joy Set Collective curates the annual programme of experiences in partnership with Black Women of AllBright.

The Opportunity

More than another networking event.

Black professional women don’t simply need more rooms to enter.

They need spaces where relationships can deepen, ideas can be exchanged, expertise can be shared and opportunities can circulate.

The collaboration between The Joy Set Collective and Black Women of AllBright created a programme of experiences designed around exactly that.

Across intimate conversations, facilitated workshops, expert panels and community gatherings, women came together not simply to network, but to connect with purpose and leave with something useful.

What We Created Together

From a single event to an annual programme.

The Joy Set Collective curates the annual calendar of experiences in partnership with Black Women of AllBright.

That means shaping the programme together rather than delivering into it. Agreeing the themes, designing the formats, selecting the voices and building a sequence of experiences that develops across the year rather than sitting in isolation.

The partnership developed across different formats rather than being a single activation.

What the programme included

  • Curated conversations around career, wellbeing, leadership and sustainable success
  • Expert-led experiences
  • Practical tools and frameworks
  • The Joy Audit
  • Community gatherings
  • Panel conversations
  • Collaborative programming
  • Access to senior professional and entrepreneurial voices

From Audience to Participation

We didn’t want women simply sitting in a room listening.

The Joy Set approach is deliberately participatory.

Experiences combine conversation with reflection, practical frameworks and opportunities for women to apply what they are hearing to their own lives, careers and leadership.

The Joy Audit moves the conversation about joy beyond emotion towards a practical examination of what fuels us, what depletes us and what needs to change.

An engaged community. Not a passive audience.

I had the pleasure of attending your Joy Audit workshop at the AllBright LiveWell Festival. I wanted to sincerely thank you for the powerful moment of reflection you offered.

Sometimes you really do need people that live, eat and breathe these methods like the Joy Audit to help you realise the importance of them.

The Power of the Room

Expertise without losing intimacy.

The programme brought together senior professionals, founders, specialists, community leaders and women at different stages of their careers.

But expertise was never intended to create distance.

Some of the most powerful moments happened when formal conversation gave way to honesty, questions, laughter, introductions and women sharing what they knew with one another.

Trust changes what becomes possible in a room.

Collective Power

An insight from the room

That noise kills creativity. It blocks joy, which believe it or not, is one of our most powerful business tools.

This is the connection The Joy Set Collective is built on. Joy is not separate from performance. It sits underneath creativity, decision-making, leadership and the capacity to sustain a career worth having.
